Beanies on a new level?

Exams for the moment are now finally over so I can go back to my much beloved routine of posting!
So as a member of the Next Blogger Network, I thought it'd be nice to post about one of their suggested topics on this cute noticeboard that they have. I was umming and awwing slightly over which one to chose, mainly because I'd happily write about any of them! Then I saw the beanie related topic and thought that is the one for me! (Mainly because I have a friend that constantly wears them, so I thought maybe they should give one of these a try out.)
From there I was a little baffled as where to continue on the whole beanie business, but then I saw this:

If you're thinking is that a beanie that's also headphones, you are spot on! Stylish, suave and savvy I think that it's a steal for only £10!
Where you can purchase this beauty!

I would definitely recommend buying one of these because not only is it a 2 in one job, I am loving the cable knit design on the whole thing, and it's wearable being a lady or a gent!

P.s: Would you wear this even if it gave you hat hair?!

Winter favourites

Music is a key element to my life as it is too many people. I would say that my style varies tremendously. One second I can be happily listening to some sweet Ben Howard, then the next Dizzee Rascal. So without a further second wasted I am going to post my top winter favourites that I think everyone should love. (Little note; This is in no specific order, as my opinions change.)

Winter Winds - Mumford & Sons

Radioactive - Imagine Dragons

Suck It And See - Arctic Monkeys

I Knew You Were Trouble - Taylor Swift (What is life without a bit of TayTayz?)

Down Down Down - Charlie Simpson (Oh yes, that minx from busted...)

Smother - Daughter

Default - Django Django

If You Got The Money - Jamie T (His voice, oh, my, gosh)

Sweet Nothing - Florence Welch, Calvin Harris

Teenage Daughter _ Dog Is Dead

I hope you love these as much as I do!

Helping hand on the revision front!

As my friends and I have our science GCSE's coming up really shortly (guys if you're reading this don't panic we will pull through!) I thought it'd be a nice idea to post about how to revise...Marmie style!

First of all find a place that isn't noisy, crammed and generally aggravating to sit in. Then scatter (gently...) the resources that you're going to use all around. Having things fixed makes you feel like a robot, and I don't think that that is a generally good idea or is it?
Then I'd say you've got to put yourself in that revision mood... I'm not entirely sure as to how other people do it, however I use this really helpful website.

Basically what it does it sets a little scenery in the background, you chose how long you want it to last and if you want guidance (USE GUIDANCE OKAY!) Then off you go with some calming sounds and a reassuring man that really helps you get to that nice steady state. Once the session is up you should be feeling pretty relaxed. Which is then a good time to shatter that calm, do nothing mood with stealthy revision. Which comes to my next point, you really don't want to be cramming everything in at once! So do it slowly piece by piece until you understand. My mum once told me that it's better to ace something than to faff about on topics and not know enough to get you the marks. When I realised that she was utterly correct, I took heed in her advice... So please do so also...
Next is snack, okay what is better than eating your favourite cake or biscuits whilst reading about isotopes or Gamma radiation? Nothing. Absolutely naff all. So Indulge and eat those calories that your brain will mentally burn off. (If you do biology you will realise that hardly any calories are actually burned using your brain, so don't say that I warned you.)
Which leads me to my last point which is be creative with revision and don't make it a drain, Spice it up by reading out loud with a funny accent. I do this, regularly in a god awful Australian accent. However I know that Sheila (my Australian self) understood what she has just read!

I hope you found this useful.

It’s now midwinter and springs not coming quite soon enough yet, so instead of spending your cash on a knit that you’ll only get to wear a few times before next season, why not try and grab yourself a brand new bag? It’s logic.

The new year, a couple days in.

It's now a couple days into the new year and so far we've survived (well I'm presuming that you have, otherwise I'm baffled as to how you're reading my post.) So I'd like to congratulate you and wish you a happy new year, although it may be a few days late on my behalf.
Today I decided now that school is back into full swing, I'd like to bring up the oh so familiar 'New Year Resolutions.' Kick starting with my ones:

1.) Read 150 books - So far I have started 1, which for those that are interested, it is John Greens 'Paper Towns'. SO FAR INTRIGUED!
2.) Keep my room tidy - Which is already proving to be a challenge as I as you'll possibly get to know am the most untidy human one could ever meet.
3.) Enjoy life a little bit more (Euphoria) - This one I thought was sweet and a good idea to set myself on, because who wants to make their resolution; "Be a sad miserable toad and slump around till 2014"?
4.) Learn and grow - For those that actually know me I really needn't literally grow, otherwise I will have to slump underneath a door frame to get through. Which doesn't seem like an exiting thing to do and it'll also be bad on my already awful posture!
5.) Yellow - Interpret this as you wish however, I've done so as buying a new bag in the most vibrant of Yellows and invested in some extra-ordinarily bright nail varnish. Retail therapy is a must!

Actually I ought to leave you on this note, as I don't want to already break one of my new years resolutions this early and tidy thy room, as there are lingering 3 glasses, 2 plates and a pile of laundry to hang up!

Obviously,
Marmie Bell! xx

P.s: Leave your New Year Resolutions in the comments box, I'd love to hear them!
